О себе: ?How To Get The Perfect Impact Position

This is the biggest illusion in the golf swing. Many, if not most amateur golfers do not have the right position of the clubshaft at impact. We instinctively get the hands and club back to where we had them at address, and this is considered a weak, flipping of wrists impact position.

The correct position for impact is your hands ahead of the ball, with forward shaft lean. This promotes a downward (compression) blow on the ball, taking ball first, then turf. Unfortunately, most golfers have not ever felt the correct impact position.

Here's what to do. Get in your address position. Now rotate your hips left, push your hands forward and freeze right there! Now take a look down at where you are at. This is the perfect impact position in golf. When you look down, does it not blow you away at how far to the left your hands are?

So just imagine you have to get all the way to the position from the top of your backswing. The ONLY way you can achieve this position is retaining your wrist angle (cock) all the way down and through impact. The minute your release this angle (and most amateur golfers do), you will be flipping at impact, and that will not compress the golf ball.

At address there is a slight cup in your left wrist. The weaker the grip, the smaller the angle in the left wrist. When your wrist is in a strong grip position, when you look down, you'll see this angle in the back of your left wrist if you're a right handed golfer.

When you're at impact having your hands ahead of the ball, with the forward shaft lean, that slight cup will be gone, and in it's place is a very flat left wrist. This is a good indicator you have struck the ball with an impact position that compresses the ball first, then as mentioned earlier, turf after the strike.

In my opinion, the most imporant point, and the key issue a golfer should pay attention to, to achieve the perfect impact position is the right wrist in golf. It should be BENT at impact. The most common look for most golfers, is a bent right wrist, which is called "flipping at impact", which is a weak way to hit a golf ball.

In your downswing, you should focus on retaining the angle in your right wrist for as long as you can possibly do it. You will be shocked at how long you need to consciously hold it. We all have that "hit" instinct, and that causes the right wrist to release prematurely.

Use A Swing Aid To Achieve Perfect Impact

One of the fastest ways to ingrain your muscle memory to hit solid shots is the use of an golf impact training club. This is a club that forces you to hit the ball with the aforementioned forward shaft lean, and hands ahead of the ball. If you don't, a training aid like this will not even get the ball airborn.

?Puppy Doe update: her name was "Kiya"
Her name was Kiya, and she used to have a loving home...
The heart-breaking story of "Puppy Doe" has gripped animal lovers across the country. And now her previous owner has released pictures of "Puppy Doe" to a Facebook page set up to help find the person, or persons, responsible for beating, stabbing, starving, and torturing the tiny pit bull puppy "medieval-style" for months, and then abandoning her to die alone.
According to the Facebook page, the puppy's previous owner sent them pictures of the puppy which cops named "Puppy Doe". The owner also told us her name.
"Puppy Doe's" name was "Kiya".
Her name was "Kiya" and, in her former life, she was obviously very much loved. The pictures show a happy, healthy puppy, surrounded with soft blankets and an abundance of toys. There are pictures of Kiya going for rides in a car, her face alight in doggy anticipation, and Kiya eagerly waiting to be fed.
The pictures show Kiya's happy life before her owner says she was forced to give her up, because of a breed discriminatory housing policy.
According to the information released by the Facebook page, the owner was forced to re-home Kiya because her landlord insisted she do so. The owner advertised on Craigslist, hoping to find a suitable owner. Although the details are not yet clear, it appears that Kiya may have been re-homed a second time from the person who responded to the Craigslist ad.
The owner (whose name has been withheld) is already working with police to track down Kiya's abuser and bring him, or her, to justice. In the meantime, she allegedly had this to say about Kiya's pictures:
"Instead of seeing my dog burned, stabbed, beaten, & starving please remember her as this. Her best friends were a chihuahua, & a minpin. She loved pig ears, tug of war, & playing fetch. She loved kids & was petrified of big dogs. vicious? Maybe if she attacked you with kisses. I will never forgive myself for what has happened to you. I hate BSL & how hard it is for these guys to find homes. I hate myself for thinking you were happy in your forever home while you were shuttled back on craigslist again. Im sorry I thought it was unfair to hide you in an apartment you werent allowed to be in I wish I could take it all back I love you kiya " (sic)
"Puppy Doe's" story shows the result of housing and municipal policies of breed-specific legislation ("BSL"). BSL tears families apart, forcing them to make decisions that can sometimes - as in the case of "Puppy Doe" - end in unimaginable sorrow and regret.
Kiya was described by the veterinarians who gave her painkillers and her last warm meal before putting her gently to sleep, as a "sweet and submissive" dog. She was a member of a family, who had never hurt anyone. In spite of her innocence, this young dog, barely more than a baby, was condemned to suffer horrifically at the hands of her unknown sadist, simply because she was a pit bull.
As this story unfolds, we will keep you updated on the latest developments. Meanwhile, please share "Puppy Doe's" story, and these pictures, as much as you can, so that those responsible can be found. Several rewards have been offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of "Puppy Doe's" torturer.
Anyone with information about "Puppy Doe" is urged to call the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Law Enforcement Department at 617-226-5610, email them at cruelty@arlboston.org, or call Quincy Police Det. Thomas Pepdjonovich at 617-745-5774.
Meanwhile, remember this: "Puppy Doe" had a name. Her name, was "Kiya".
UPDATE: The reward offered for information has increased to $18,000.

?A Miracle in Monterrey

One by one, Paloma watches gang members walk out of the warm Monterrey sun, and into her tiny home, where she finds herself encircled by criminals. She catches her breath as she contemplates the situation in which she suddenly finds herself. Paloma has heard the gruesome stories. Now, as the last member steps into her living room, she softly clears her throat.

Tonight, she announces to the circle, we will be studying from the book of Matthew.

Not even two years ago, Paloma was terrified of the neighborhood in which she lived. As a middle-aged woman, she felt defenseless in a community characterized by hatred, drugs, lust, and violence. But God did a mighty work in Palomas heart, and soon she held a passion for outreach that transcended any remnants of fear.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, Paloma invited a few local gang members to meet within her home. Then using Bible studies, she told them about the love and forgiveness that only Jesus could offer.

It was not long before word got out on the streets. Driven by curiosity, several more young men wanted to hear the Message that this brave woman had to share. Each week the attendance grew a little bit more.

Today, Paloma is dealing with a whole new problem, finding a location that can house the 45 to 50 ex gang members that turn up every week.

As God is changing individuals, so to He is building bridges to their families, and to their friends, and to their communities through the outreach of many like Paloma. The ripple builds into a mighty wave that is sweeping throughout the city. Over the past two years of Bible Network ministry in Monterrey, one twelfth of the citys population has heard the Gospel, and a half million Scriptures have been placed through these Bible studies.

Sometimes, Palomas group members continue to struggle with deep rooted addictions even after they accept Christ as their Savior. But these former gang members have formed a support system of prayer and encouragement for each others success.

And Paloma has taken an additional step by helping to find these young men jobs and job training. She says, I love these young people, and it breaks my heart to see them throwing their lives away. I want them to become men of integrity.

It is this communal aspect of Bible study that is slowly turning Palomas neighborhood around. Her house, the only one on the block not covered in graffiti, has become an oasis from the troubles of the world.

Thank God, with us, for the revival He has begun in Monterrey. Only He could use a heart of fear to reach an entire community.
